Aero: Along with being an overused prefix (aeroplane, aerodynamics, aerospace), Aero is the 'eye candy' that Microsoft is putting in Windows Vista. Taking advantage of the recent popularity of high-powered 3D graphics cards in PCs today, Aero adds a "glass-like" semi-transparent user interface to Vista. Beware, however, as all of Aero's fading, sliding, and swooshing of windows may force an older graphics card into early retirement.
