Winter Wonder Scams
The Internet has created great new ways for people to shop during the holidays and, so too has it created new ways for scam artists to take advantage of unaware online shoppers. Scammers are always devising new tactics to cloak their activities and create a false sense of legitimacy. Nearly one in four US Internet users are targeted in phishing schemes and more than two-thirds of those targeted believed they were from legitimate companies.
Now scammers are personalizing scams to even further cloak their malicious intentions. Tune in this week as Ken, Brandon, and Chad discuss the threats to look out for this holiday season.
