SMiShing: The combination of 'SMS' (Short Message Service - the cell phone version of text messaging) and 'phishing'. SMiShing or SMS phishing, is a type of phishing attack where mobile phone users receive text messages containing a Web site hyperlink, which, if clicked would download a Trojan horse to their mobile phone. The hackers use clever "social engineering" tactics such as a message that states: You will be charged $2 per day unless you cancel your order at www.XXXXXX.com.
