Michelle -- HELP I tried to click on hte thing to get my system book and it downloaded a bunch of stuff but the Adobe Reader caused a problem and it has been causign problems for awhile like everytime we try to access our bank accounts it takes two minutes or more for adobe reader, (which comes up as a grey block in the middle of the screen) to 'access' where i'm trying to go. This time I can't download the book i need to know how to learn about the computer. I NEED A BOOK. I need to find out why this adobe reader is going nuts . it's in the computer already yet it's taking forever to let me access very important documents. PLEASE HELP. thank you so much. really. I had to bring my old computer in after having it shipped here from MD when I moved out here. It just kept getting stuck or not loading ...and I called and 'Joe' said bring it in. We'll look at it. If you stay here with it, there is no charge. So Dennis Breuler, my fiance' and I came in and Joe not only 'looked at ' the computer, but stayed late in trying to accomplish making it 'better'. He was friendly and conversational and calm and informative and patient. And we thought the computer was fixed. We still had problems with it as we'd found out that it was too small a system for the programs my son in law had loaded into it, so I decided to have a system built. Michelle was just wonderful and we'd brought my old computer back in and just stayed til we got all the ordering done and felt satisfied that we were getting what we would need. A week later we picked up our new system, got a 'walkthru' lesson and brought it home, plugged it in and started working. there were a few glitches (human error ) and i called in and michelle answered the questions I had and patiently walked me thru steps to make things work. The only disappointing thing I felt was that I needed to have the 'book' that would tell me about my new computer. it turned out that we had to do an interview thing before we could access an icon (we're not the most 'user friendly' geniuses on the planet here....) and then print the book out for ourselves. I felt that the book should have been already printed and should have come with the system as, at least to me, I felt like I'd just spent a bunch of money. Of course I had just moved here from the east coast and money was tight as I'm only receiving a V.A. stipend from my late husband's Disabled Veteran's Benefit program. Anyhow, I felt I needed the book in hand in order to make sense of setting up the emails and other things and understanding the 'interview' process in order to "GET" the book. it was a bit of a round robin. Over the period since we got our new system though, we still haven't printed out the book due to cost of printer ink and paper but that will get done shortly. In the meantime when I've had problems, I prefer to talk to michelle who is patient beyond words. I did have to call one time when she was out and Ben (?) helped but I felt overwhelmed because i would ask a question and sometimes his answer would be, 'you don't have to know that' , (Hey, how does HE know what I have to know) He was never rude or discourteous, he just might not be 'people user friendly' the way my son in law the computer genius is not people user friendly, especially when trying to explain to a nongeek the info I need in a way I can understand and then remember. He needs to work on making his brain think in terms of teaching 6 year olds when they ask questions.......or at least establishing that they really don't understand what he's talking about and are afraid they'll touch the wrong buttons and break everything. (We do think that you know--one wrong button and the system is fried foreve, and a new on needs built and paid for again or that the wrong button will lead to being sucked into a Black Hole in space somewhere ). (Not really but you get my drift.) I LOVE your store. I have told so many people about you. Dennis Breuler loves your store and Joe and Michelle . He's not so sure about Ben because of his people skills. We figure he's young...he'll learn. Overall We will come back for our needs and I hope Michelle never quits and we both stil intend to send our friends and family to Data Doctor if they ask where's a good place to take their computers. We are satisfied with your help and knowledge and patience. I just wish the book would have been put in my hands when i got my new computer. I need the book to know how to work the computer but i need to work the computer to get the book. it's a conundrum. thank you for all you have done for us and we will be seeing you again. sincerely, joani harris/dennis breuler we now have our very own cox emails! I used Data Doctors at 7th Street and Thunderbird. My overall experience was good. Although the technicians were not able to save the data from the hard drive, they gave me a feeling that Data Doctors was competent and trustworthy. Ben was particularly helpful and courteous. He was able to walk me through several problems over the phone and was super courteous and knowledgeable when I returned to the store for additional assistance. Through Ben's persistance, most of my computer problems have been solved. Yes, I would return to Data Doctors for further repairs and would recommend Data Doctors to others.
