Hello, my name is arturo, is very easy to do this.

You don't even need a FDISK, what you need is a Windows 2000 pro CD, the product key and a good condition hard drive.

boot up your computer, go to your CMOS settings and check the "The boot up Order", make sure the CD-ROM is before the hard drive.

insert the Windows 2000 CD into the CD-ROM before bootup and then let it run alone this might take a while.

after the while time that Windows 2000 was diagnosing your computer It will ask you to read some statement, just press F8, and the ENTER to install.

Press "C" to create a partition and enter the amount, I suggest to be at least 4.5 GB, so you won't have problem in your future or since you have 40GB than use 20 GB and the other partition of 20GB use can use it to store music or important files this is more efficient way.

Choose the partation you want to format either NTFS or FAT 32, 16 and install Windows 2000.

After that windows will start to install automatic in this will take about 1 Hour, It will restart and the installation will still continue.

After this you need to configure manually such as putting the product key, the time, computer name, and the drivers for your peripherals devices.
