we are having difficulty dowloading files from the internet. What I mean is going to a site and downloading a program...what will happen is the save as screen will not come up at all...I have to click on the having problems link and even so all I get is as follows:

a window that says getting file information for a long time this happens and it really has no information

following this we get an error message that says: Internet Explorer cannot download (file name) from (IP address) Internet Explorer was not able to open this internet site.. the requested site is either unavailable of cannot be found...please try again later.

So I try again later and I try other sites to download and the same thing happens.

My dad tried using PC pitstop on the computer as he usually does but now that will not work either

Looks like the page you are trying to download from has disabled 'right clicks' ...

or/and the file you're looking for is not available anymore or is moved.

Try using a download manager, it might help There may be a problem with your ISP If its broadband with an always on modem can try reseting that and see if it helps To reset, pull the power plug, wait a bit, plug back in

If you have a router can also reset that Usually you pull both power plugs, router & modem Plug modem in first, wait 30 seconds or so, then plug in router.
