I have had the DSL connection in my home for a few months. We have 5 computers connected to it with wireless connections and one computer connected directly to the router. Today, when I try to open Internet Explorer on my laptop (connected by a wireless card), I get the message that I am not connected to the internet/web page unavailable offline. However, the "network connections" screen shows that I am connected to my wireless network connection at 11Mbps with an EXCELLENT signal strenght. IE gives me the two options: "Connect" and "Stay Offline". I chose connect and it opens MSN explorer, the dial-up service I used to have tries to dial for a connection. So, my computer is recognizing the DSL connection as usual but IE will not display webpages because it doens't find a connection. All other computers on the connection are working properly.

First go the the start menu, got to run and type in command type cd\ this will just take you back to the c:/ prompt Then type iponfig/release this will get rid of all the current ip settings Then all you have to do is renew your ip information and it will send a new list of ip information Your laptop should jump right onto the network--Robert Outlaw
