Should I clean off my hard drive? I am getting locked up and cursors are from different theme screensavers, I have had the computer 4 1/2 years and added and deleted many programs. Would this be the cause of some of the problems running this computer?

Yes it better off that you format her whole entire hard drive reinstall the software from new beginning and also your computer is outdate your computer need to be updated.
