Hi

I have a problem with my cd r/rw drive . It has a game disk in it and was playing ok untill about half way through when it stopped working. The cd is still in the disk and the disk draw will not open to eject it If I press the play button the green read light flashes slowly and the computer screen locks up and I have to control/ alt/ delete to come out. I have checked the connections and they seem ok and I have tried to get the disk out manually but the drawer will not open. I have tried the Windows help ie removing and reinstalling the cd drive but this does not work. My Computer says that there is no disk in the drive even though there is.Is there anyway I can get the disk out? The rest of the computer seems to be working ok but the virus checker will not check the cd drive because it says there is no disk in it.

Any ideas?

I think that the CD is not right for that CD-ROM player Try that CD on other computer if it does the same stop using the CD.
