Our old computer has a problem with monitor. It makes buzzing sounds when turned on with the computer. The screen is blank and lights up orange on the indicator light. I am guessing that the connector that connects it to the pc is supposed to have 15 pins, but it only has 11 pins. Do i need to replace the monitor, the connection, or is it something else.

If there is a difference in the amount of pins between the connectors then you are using the wrong monitor You really should find a new monitor that is compatible with your PC.
