What message does this flash prompt display?

My computer was working great last night, but his morning when I pressed the power button it would never reach the login screen. All I get is a flashing prompt in the top left corner of the screen. I have a Dell Dimension 4100 with Windows ME, but not sure that is the issue since I never even make it to the login??

Know that question is what did you did when your working was working last night?,,, did you install some software program, is it from the CD or from the Internet?,,,did you had a strange action on your computer yesterday?,,,what kind of program do you had install.

What you might do is to start up in safe mode, by pressing the Ctrl at the bootup choose safe mode and see if you can get to the login If you did, try to find out what is cousing the problem, by uninstalling program that you think is causing problem, getting your computer update, getting antivirus update and reboot your computer in normal.

If this doesn't you can go to microsoft website on others computer that have internet access and see look for support for Windows Me and type the prompt message that you get See if this is the likely problem that you get and follow the steps that they said.

My suggestion is to upgrade your windows Me to windows 98 or 2000, there is alot of debugged on windows me and most of expert says that Windows Me is not considered an operating sysem
