What is a faulty pentium?

Hi I have a Pentium 3 that is driving me nuts. it will work for a while but then it seems to lock the system up total i cant ctr alt del i have to turn the pc off and start again meaning all work i have done is lost. i have rebuilt the pc to mack sure no loose conection and i have reinstalled windows xp but it still dose it. i have found to make it freeze on command all i have to do is open the start bar and it stops please someone help a poor dumb auzzie.

What ever you or someone has done on the computer has crashed your pentium thus leaving it not working properly and the only thing you can do now to fis it is get a new pentium hardware
