What is missing or corrupt file?

When I boot my computer I get the following:

root/system32/ntoskrnl.exe

This question was answered on November 12, 2003. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.


I assume you have Windows 2000 or windows NT When you boot you receive the message root/system32/ntoskrnl.exe because you are missing or it is corrupt.

You must re-install your operating system.
