You may receive the error message when you boot your computer or try to use a printer or start a program that works with a printer, "Spoolsv.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows, you will need to restart the program" The Spooler service then stops but you can restart it While the spooler is stopped you'll see the message this can happen if BitWare for windows is installed The versions of BitWare used today are 3.30 and 7.0 which don't work to well with microsoft windows 2000 server, microsoft windows 2000 advanced server or microsoft windows 2000 professional To check to see if bitWare is running, look for Bwagent.exe or Bwprnmon.exe in task manager The best thing to do is to take off bitware but rememeber that is not available for all versions of windows To fix this if uninstalling is not available you can delete all registry entries and drivers that refer to bitWare for your self by starting registry editor (Regedt32.exe) Get references to bitWare in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-2

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers

Then on the edit menu, click Delete for each bitWare subtree After this you quit registry editor Delete all bitWare drivers from the %SystemRoot%\System32\Spool\Drivers\W32x86 folder After you do all this you then have to restart windows I hope this helps.
