I cannot access the internet via my system. I can access the internet by logging in to safe mode on my computer. I am not sure how to diagnose or fix the problem. I checked the network adapters and they are working fine. I tried to ping my gateway but got no response, I also tried to ping another computer but did not receive a response. It seems as if it might be a simple fix but it escapes me.

The problem started when I cancelled through an automatic windows update. I think this might have had something to do with it. I did do the updates via safe mode and they seemed to work but the problem is still not fixed. I am almost to the point of reinstalling my operating system but this seems such an extreme measure to take to fix this problem. Please advise.

Thanks
