How to get rid of Office Assistant.

I have annoying problem with Microsoft Word 2000. There is a office assistant that keeps popping up and gets in my way. How do I get rid of it?

To get rid of the office assistant in MS Word 2000 right click the character and click hide You can also click help and click hide office assistant.
