I have a dual boot machine - Windows 98 and Linux -SuSe 7.2.

When I installed the O/S's I had a ps2 [microsoft basic] mouse installed. That mouse went south.

I grabbed a serial mouse [microsoft basic] and installed it.

It worked fine in 98.

But SuSe it would not work, nor could I find a way to add it.

So I grabbed another ps2 from another machine [microsoft basic] and was back in business.

What must I do to change hardware in Linux and especially SuSe 7.2?

Thanks in advance.

When you were installing Linux you were given the potion to specify what type of mouse was install in the computer Therefore it didn't work.
