Lately when I start my laptop the following appears and I don't know what it means. I can get to Windows 98 by pressing any key and everything seems to work (sort of):

This question was answered on November 17, 2003. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.
When you have a bad sector there is no way that you can fix it through your windows or even the DOS prompt so your best bet is reinstalling you OS and i guarantee no problem.
