I've recently purchased a Sony DRU-510UL(external) DVD burner. I find that there is a region-lock that is established the 5th time after a DVD video is played. I realize that following their directions relative to this that Ill be able to play region-free discs, but not the discs from other regions.

Is there a solution for this problem.

I've found software, DVDIdle Plus 3.2, (WWW.DVDIdle.com) that claims to be able to correct this limitation. What do you think?

Thanks for your help.

The DVD Region CSS Free software from DVDIdle will allow you to play disks from any region Using this software would circumvent the Sony firmware and historically speaking, Sony frowns on this http://www.dvdidle.com/dvd-region-free.htm
