What to do to adjust my power options?

If I leave my computer on all the time and it goes to the screen saver and then the screen would just go off and if a button got pressed, the screen would just turn on ...the monitor was asleep. But now the whole system will just turn off after a few minutes of being off.

I have a Dell inspiron 5100 lap top .

Follow these steps:

1) Go to you control panel,

2) Click on the Power Options icon

3) And In the Power Option Properties window make the nessary adjustments.
