Why does my screen go blank and stop loading but in safe mode, no problem; monitor sounds like it is shuting off, as well.

When my pc boots up it gets to a point where the screen go blank and stops loading. If I go in under safe mode, it boots up with no problems. It also sounds like to monitor is being shutoff while it boots up. Any ideas. Thanks

You could have one of two problems Video card may not support the resolution and/or color setting or not enough video RAM-2MB or more is required.
