when i turned on my laptop dos started, then it went to a black screen and it said operating system not found. so i when into the settings at the start of setup and i loaded defalut setting and i saved it. when i turned on the computer it went to windows and it started to work. was that the right thing to do.

It was the right thing to do because it seemed your computer settings were changed and with you changing it back to the default settings your computer was able to access your operating system with no problems.
