What is device manager?

I am unable to get any sound, I have tried to install the correct drivers

I had a disk with my refurbished computer. I think I connected to the

correct socket, can you help with this problem?

One thing you can try is right click my computer go to properties click on hardware then device manager if you see a question mark anywhere click it use that disk to update the driver and if it works your computer should be running fine.
