I bought a new AMD Athlon/Duron Processor based DDR mainboard with a AMD Athlon XP 2400+ Processor and I used the hard drive, disk drive, monitor and CD-Rom from a HP computer to build a computer from the ground up. When I put all the parts together and hooked it all up and I turned the power on nothing came up on the monitor and the monitor went into standby mode. I need to know if the parts are not compatible or if something went wrong somewhere else in the computer.

Any type of Athlon components are used strictly for apple computers and not window based computers IF you change the Athlon components you should not have any problem.
