My usb ports know that something is plugged into them, they warn me when I unplug the devices, but they don't seem to know what it is. I have an Olympus camera, with the camedia software. I can run the software, but when I try to search for the pictures in the camera, it can't find the camera. It is the same with the Microtec scanner that I have. I have tried different ports, and the camera works fine on another computer. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software. I have recently installed Spybot, and wonder if I could have purged something that I needed. I also recently installed McAffe Firewall. Could that be blocking something? I wonder if I can just use the restoration cd to reinstall the USB drivers.
