What is language selection?

I have only had my notebook for one week, so I am still getting to learn whatall is there. I have the IBM embedded Security subsystem 2.0 security chip. I began to download the IBM Client Security Software, and became confused after step two, step three was language selections- beginning with English something..... but seems to be for Chinese. So I stopped confused. I don't know where to go from here. No one seems to have a clue. Also, I noticed that I have a program loaded listed under my Programs as Support.com at 30.9 MB. According to their website they configure Web-based security settings for connecting your computer to your support provider.

I dont' know if this was pre-loaded or if it is some spy ware. Can you help me? The notebook is my own, and I am not working so I have no access to IT people.

When installing a program sometimes they the language selection is different even though it says english if you select english that has the u.s next to it the program should install with no problem to you
