When i turn on my compter nothing comes up on the monitor, some beeping noises sound. I need to find out what the noises are called and what they meen. If you could answer these questions ill be thankful.

If you know your BIOS brand, such as BIOS Award, then you go to BIOS manufacture website and they should have the meaning of each beepings Go to your CMOS setting and see if what BIOS your computer has Also compaq might help you by go to the website or call then and ask what BIOS does your computer has and what are their recommendation.

If you hear only 1 or 2 beep fast and then that means that your computer is find If you hear a long beep and then 3 or four beep then It might be a video card problem or Memory is not compatible If you Install a new memory recently, then this might been the problem because you install a incompatible memory, so just take out the RAM and boot the computer
