I have a legal copy of Windows 98 and need to reinstall it on my computer, but have lost the original book with the product code. Is the code in the registry somewhere and if so where? I can convert it to ASCII, EBCDIC, or whatever. The actual problem is that the computer boots to a prompt askinf which mode to boot in: Safe or Normal. I am not sure what happened to cause this and there is not important data on the machine. Can you help me?
