Wants to purchase a good notebook

I would like to buy a used laptop for my daughter who will be leaving for college in the fall. I want MS office and a RW-CDROM. Other than that, I don't know what to get, what to avoid and where to go.

First of all go to tiger direct they have really great deals that would save you some money

you could get a 60 gig of hard drive incase she wants to store pictures and ask for a pentium 4 make sure u request for a floppy when u request for rw-rom cause it could be either or if it's either or ask for an external floppy then you'll have both floppy and rw/cdrom
