What is BIOS?

Hello,

I am building a computer. The sound when the computer is writing on the Hard Drive right? I want the ultra-quiet pc. No hard drive sound or anything. So, my question is what is the quiestest computer case? And, how can I have no Hard Drive sound when I am working with it? I was just on a different computer yesterday and, I loaded it and it was dead silent. Macintosh is like that. I need it to be about that quiet. My most important thing is no Hard Drive noise. Or whatever that sound is. Makes the sound when the computer is thinking. Now, if you do not understand PLEASE e-mail me back. I want to finish this by December 3, 2003. What you need to do is when your computer is loading up and it says either press F2 or esc to enter setup do so then line up your drives that your cd-rom loads first then your hard drive doing that and you will have a quiet pc
