I recently purchased 256mb PC 2100 266Mhz Ram off of a website. When I first installed it, it worked fine. However the next time I turned on my computer I got this weird beep that keeps repeating and won't stop until I turn of my computer. I then removed the ram and it started up fine. Later on I turned off the computer and put the ram back in and it worked fine for about a week. Then the next time I turned on the computer it started the beeping again. I then turned the computer off, took out the ram, put it back in and started it up and it again worked just fine. The ram decides to work occasionally for some reason. Do you have any suggestions or ideas?

It sounds like you got a defective RAM The RAM you have may have been used or damaged during shipping You may have to get another stick, but it would be best if you buy it from a computer store if possible this way you could easily take it back if there is a problem.
