I purchased a refurbished eMachines Desktop & when I received it the fan was off of the CPU & sitting in the bottom of the chasis. I reattached the fan & plugged it back in & checked all the other (visible) cables, everything seems to be in place. When I boot up it accesses the hard drive, then the CD, then floppy, but no images are on the screen & it stops. It doesn't shut off, but appears to be locking in the boot sequence. Any ideas? I am considering taking it to Best Buy to have it assessed, but would like to handle it myself.

Thanks,

Kyle Hayford

Considering you got it like that which it should have together and working I would take it back apart the way it was and take it back with a complaint to the management.
