Please explain why my video display will not show a DVD or even a video from windows media players or Real ect when transfering through a projector. All other including photos can display, but the video can not. The laptop displays and tranasfers all other data through the projector onto the screen. But all you can see on the wall projection is the dark area where the video should be. Everything is is displayed on the screen. The laptop is playing the movie with all in its display screen. It does not matter the namebrand of the projector, because we tried four top namebrands and other lap tops. Why will these clips not transfer?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Richard

I think is the projecter, if you tell me that you had try four different laptops It must be the projector settings either the resolution setting, If you had the guideline find out about of playing movies or video clips because it should play If you have a desktop computer test it before you make some modify changes in the projector, see if you can play video if you do then the projector is fine if you don't then play around with the setting of your projector.

If you can tell me next the name of the projector, the brand and the manufacture to figure out your problem much easier You should have a support number either in the guideline of your projector or other papers and maybe you can tell the problem and see what they say about since they are the expert in projector.
