I am recording my 1500 CD music library to hard disk. The quality, using MusicMatch, is OK except I lose the high frequencies. I have a Memorex DVD +r +RW writer and the Dell CDRW (I do not know the manufacturer).

Is there better ripping software?

Should I be concerned about CD drive quality and if so, any recommendations of what to look for?

Does my sound card (a SoundBlaster SB Live! 1014) matter?
