Lately my email MicroSoft Outlook takes forever, maybe a minute or more to send, or not send at all, if there are more than two email addresses. Also it will hang and not transmit any large files such as pictures, even to only one addressee.

I have the McAfee Security package with regular auto-updates. I also utilize their Firewall and Privacy software. I do not know if these programs are interfering due to upgrades, or if perhaps the Outlook program is damaged.

Restoring the computer to an earlier time frame does not seem to help.

Do you have any clue or suggestions as to what might be causing my outgoing email to hang for long periods during transmit? Incoming mail also occasionally hangs too, but not nearly as often.

Thank you in advance for any assistance!

What it sounds like to me is that your antivirus software maybe interfering with your email more than you would like it to Usually when there is anu type of antivirus program on a machine if you are sending or recieving email and such that it will take longer because the antivirus is checking the file(s) for viruses You may want the check your antivirus's programs settings.
