Hi Datadoc,

Please help as this takes up so much time each time I switch on my computer.

It switches on and I get my desktop screen but the little egg timer which normally stays on just until system has finished loading up just will not go off. It usually just allows the volume icon in the system tray to appear and then nothing else happens and the egg-timer just sits there. I have tried leaving it to see if it will eventually start but I think half an hour is a bit much! The only positive thing I have noticed after I keep having to switch on & off until pure luck makes it start is that in the taskbar an ms-dos prompt box appears and then I know Im in luck. Its very frustrating and I can't pin it down to any one thing. I have Zone Alarm, AVG and Spybot if that helps.

Hope to hear from you soon,

eenymemee
