Red x's??

What cause the red Xs to replace pictures in email messages. Is there something I could be doing wrong??

You should first go to microsoft.com and go to updates and download all critical updates for windows 98 this may help with your internet problems

if this does not help the probblem may not be yours if the red X's are in emails that are sent to you then the problem is with the sender of the email they need to make some changes to thier email sevices.
