How to adjust the monitor.

My display screen used to habe 256 colors and a larger area display. A video game card was inserted and now the screen is smaller and will not readjust in the properties display. I have no system restore option and no backup disk, what should I do?

What you should try is to go into the menu of the video card driver There should be an option to adjust the size of your screen from there.
