my daughter's computer is very slow to access the interenet. When we click on the MS Explorere it takes several minutes to load the explorer and then it take awhile for it to go the the different websites. This only occurs on the internet. The other programs run normally. I already defragmented the drives and cleared out the temporary files. What can cause this problem?

One possible reason for this is that you may need more memory and another factor could be how you are trying to launch explorer, 56 K modem is usually very slow, DSL is a little bit quicker and Cable connection is the fastest of all of these So any of these can be the problem Good for you for clearing out temporary files and defragmenting, this helps too.
