Did you try this

My Laptop has been restarting like mad. If i'm running any major program for more than 15 mins it just restarts on me. I thought that maybe it was overheating, but even after putting 2 outside fans on it, the problem persists. I've checked with 3 different virus and trojan scanners and none of them picked up anything. I keep my computer up to date with windows update. I have no idea why it is doing this. It's been acting up for about 2 weeks now. Thank you.

try upgrading you memory this might help.
