Would like to replace xp to run 98 and not able to

I have a new compaq s500nx destop and wish to replace XP with 98 to run my main accounting program. The computer seems not to allow this. Compaq has been no help. It seems that I cannot even load the cd rom for win98.

What you need to do fore most is uninstall (format the hard drive) xp and then install win 98 you can't run 98 and still have xp sitting there
