While working (surfing) on net . . . IE6.0 . . . activity locks up and will not return or takes for ever to come back if at all.
Task Manager shows "winservn not responding."
What is this? How do I fix it?
Reboot is only way to resolve. Not a particularly popular option.
Shut down procedure results in:
C++ Runtime Library, Runtime Error!
C:\windows\winlogon.exe
Abnormal Program Termination

You are experiencing these errors and problems because IE6 is actually known to be destructive on the Windows 98 platform It's simply an issue of compatibility Since IE6 is the latest browser and was not in existence in the days of W98, there are certain features and applications that will not be compatible Hence, the runtime errors and abnormal program terminations IE6 tends to run more accurately on a current operating system such as ME or XP I would suggest for you to upgrade your operating system in order for IE6 to run smoothly on your computer If an upgrade is not an option that you have right now, I would suggest for you to downgrade your internet browser to an earlier version so that you are not overwhelmed with error messages and such Good Luck!!
