I have all my windows 98 cab files in a seperate folder on C:\ drive. Can I use deltree to remove the Windows directory off of C:\ drive and re-setup Windows from the seperate folder holding the cab files?

Are there any other files to remove before doing this. User.dat? system.dat?

I have heard of this but am not sure about either.

Thanx

Lee

If you do not have the Windows 98 CD then it will be impossible for you to do a reinstall, even with all the cab files - Windows uses the CAB files to search for drivers and files needed for the Operating System -it does not contain all the files needed in order to run setup Your best bet may be to seek out a Wiindow 98 CD in order to reinstall the OS on your machine.
