I used to be able to record multiple songs from multiple CD's to one CD.

Example: Track2 from CD1 to CD3, Track2 from CD2 to CD3. It worked because the serial numbers of CD's 1 and 2 were included in the path. CD3 ended up with Track2 from CD1 and Track2 from CD2.

Then, for no apparent reason my recording software (or Windows XP) stopped including the serial number.

The same example above ended up with CD3 containing only Track2 from CD2.

How do I get the serial number to be included again?

This is a really cool looking stereo with lots of cool features that no other system has For example, when it plays CDs it reads the name of the song and artist (if present) and has an everchanging background that you can change to lots of different colors The text display is a disappointment because it shows only the first seven or so letters of the name of the artist This is not good if you listen to XM (which once you get you will not want to listen to much of anything else) Also, it does not hold XM presets and does not display the time while the XM radio is engaged I don't use an amp for the speakers and it is plently loud I would recommend this item but I would get a stand alone XM tuner and plug it threw the Aux input for ideal results.
