Can you remove the links folder?

How do you remove the links forlder from Microsoft Internet Explorer v 6? I tried deleting it but it keeps coming back.

It keeps coming back because you cannot delete it This links folder holds your favorites and cannot be deleted, you can rename it but it will always stay there.
