Why can't I use my workpad

when i try to open wordpad i get the message that it can't find wordpad.exe. i dont' have the 98se disc. can i reinstall without the disc?

If you're lucky, you may have the Windows setup files on your hard drive, maybe C:\Windows\Options\Cabs If you do, you can reinstall wordpad from there -

add/remove programs>windows setup>accessories>wordpad

when windows asks for the CD, point it towards the Cabs folder.
