Ken,
I recently upgraded my W98 with the IE6 and started having registry problems and wound up clearing the HD and reinstalling everything, a pain. My ISP says it is 'destructive to W98 but OK with a ME or later OS' with only a 25% repair rate. MS is aware of it but has not corrected it either. Is this part of the 'Force Feeding' of cookies and ads? What do you think? Stay away from any their upgrades?
Thanks, Al Drury

It is very possible that IE6 is not compatible with W98 IE6 is one of the latest and greatest providers out right now Obviously, as you and I both know IE6 was not in existence in the days of W98 Therefore, I can conclude that the people of IE6 would make IE most compatible with a more up to date operating system It also makes absolute sense when your ISP informed you that "IE6 is destructive to W98 but ok with a ME........" Technology is always improving and in order to stay on top of technology you need to stay up to date.
