One way to get rid of computers is to ask about trade-ins when shopping for a new computer
"For example, Gateway will give you current market value on any old computer you have," ."Gateway will then take your old computer and they will donate it to an non-profit organization, or they will rebuild it or they may dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way."
Gateway accepts any computer brand, as long as it goes toward the purchase of a new Gateway computer
Hewlett Packard also buys old computers and gives a price quote toward buying a new one online
Dell buys computers online, even if it's not a Dell, without buying a new Dell
"Another possibility for getting rid of your old computer is to call a local used computer dealer." "They may offer you some money for it Just look in your Yellow Pages under 'computers'"
Consumers can also get a tax relief by donating old computers to charities The National Cristina Foundation can help find a local group in need
