How do we correct being disconnected from the internet or Outlook Express?

Ever since I downloaded Eathlink TotalAccess in Nov. I'm constantly being disconnected from the Internet or my Outlok Express email. I get this messge on email: The host smtp.earthlink.net could not be found.Please verify you have entered the server name correctly. Account pop. earthlink.net Server smtp earthlink.net Protocol SMTP Port 25 Secure (SLL) No. Socket wrror 11001 Error number ox800CCC0D

This is the second time I've typed this as I was knocked off the Internet !!!

Earthlink doesn't seem to be able to resolve this issue.

I believe the error message is letting you know that your browser is linked to the wrong

port.

SMTP is a protocol for sending messages via email and the port for this protocol is 25.

The port that should be used for your browser is port 80 which is used by the protocol

HTTP, the World Wide Web protocol.

Your browser must be set to this port
