I'm downloading some files using a file sharing software, the computer suddenly freezes. I heard the hard drive stop before everything froze. I lose the files that are being downloaded. This problem happened to me before and replacing the hard drive data cable seemed to have worked for a few months but it happened again. I checked all the cables and nothing is lose. A side note to this is maybe its the memory that I have. I upgraded my ram from 256 to 512 RDRAM. I had the problem of the computer freezing before but without the hard drive stopping sound. Is there any relation to the RAM or does this have anything to do with lose hard drive cables? By the way I tried switching the most used programs to my d: drive from my c: drive and the same still happened so I 'm sure its not the hard drive that has a problem. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ian.

When was the last time did you make a clean up to your hard drive, use an Antivirus in your computer.
